NextGen Neighbor Network (NNN) is a collaborative initiative and ecosystem between schools, sports clubs, culture, parents, local businesses and organizations in a designated local area to validate social capital amongst youth. We serve as a non-profit example for others to follow by using our pilot projects as inspiration.

We have three value based frameworks; Miljøplakaten, “I care. Campaign,” and the “I care. Scholarship.”

Our goal is to focus on social capital with sport as a vehicle for growth and development to include, integrate, and secure belonging for all children regardless of background, financial situation, or parents involvement.

We have created a framework that outlines a supportive system of mutual responsibility and accountability for children and youth, based on existing rules and regulations, Municipal code of conduct and local ordinance.

This seeks to ADDRESS, REPORT, and REPAIR challenges simultaneously to reduce and diminish repercussions for children’s mental health. Each local area may have role models and ambassadors from sports. We seek to prevent snitching, bullying, violence, drugs and crime by reinforcing good behavior such as high social capital, personal character, integrity, and responsibility. Through open and reliable dialogue, we aim to prevent issues from escalating across all the various areas children navigate.

The words “I care” are central to our initiative and are visually expressed throughout our branding, collaborative opportunities, and events. This campaign is led by key figures, athletes, and sponsorship partners, reminding everyone that caring about the next generation starts with compassion, validation of their social capital, understanding, and social change.

“We want to raise strong, kind, independent, and confident children. Let’s create awareness of their social capital, character, integrity, and responsibilities, rather than judging them for their background, financial situation, or personal challenges. This will boost integration, inclusion, equality, and belonging."
